Travel MRI Technologist – Hospital Imaging Job in Greenbrae, California
Join a hospital-based imaging team as an MRI Technologist in Greenbrae, California. MRI Technologist Job Details

- Duration: Approximately 9 weeks
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift; 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,530
- Work Arrangement: On-site
MRI Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical imaging setting
- Current MRI certification
- Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and follow established diagnostic imaging protocols
- Strong understanding of MRI safety procedures, patient screening, implants, medical history, and contraindications
- Ability to work a four-shift, 40-hour weekly schedule
- Strong communication, patient-care, and documentation skills
- Ability to meet applicable California state and facility credentialing requirements
MRI Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI examinations in accordance with department protocols and MRI safety standards
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, medical history, and contraindications before examinations
- Prepare and position patients for imaging while providing clear instructions and compassionate patient care
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to support high-quality diagnostic studies
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to questions or concerns
- Review MRI images for quality and completeness, repeating sequences when clinically appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records and document examinations in accordance with departmental procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient flow
- Follow infection-control, MRI safety, equipment, and workplace policies
