As a DSP, you’ll build meaningful relationships while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout Solano County. Flexible Shifts That Fit Your Lifestyle Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (some start times may be 8:00 AM) Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Overnight: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM On your application, please list the shifts you are most interested in. You may also include shift preferences outside of these blocks if that works better for your schedule. Schedule Expectations CFL provides customized supports based on each person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). DSPs must be available to work no less than 8 hours weekly and must be able to travel to all Solano County service areas. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 18 years of age Valid driver’s license & proof of auto insurance CPR/First Aid Certification (offered internally after 90 days) Who Thrives in This Role? Team players who bring positivity and kindness to the workplace Dependable and reliable, ready to step in and support when needed Respectful and compassionate, valuing confidentiality and inclusion Passionate helpers, who find joy in making someone’s day better Responsibilities Supporting individuals in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming household Helping with daily living skills such as meal prep, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and personal hygiene Encouraging independence while providing respectful assistance with health and safety needs Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities Building meaningful connections and encouraging friendships Documenting services accurately and keeping communication open with CFL management Attending trainings, team meetings, and professional development sessions Promoting inclusion in the community and celebrating milestones, big or small Physical Demands DSPs may assist with mobility, including transfers with a Hoyer lift and mobility aids (training provided). This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, kneel, and maintain safe body mechanics while assisting others. CFL has a no single‑lift policy to ensure the safety of both staff and individuals supported. Job Type Flexible, variable part‑time position. Hours generally range from 25–40 per week and are based on the availability you share in your application.
