Position name: Machine Operator

Location: North Kingstown, RI
Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:55 AM–2:55 PM
Duration: 12 month (May get extend)

Position Summary

We are seeking a  Machine Operator to operate various production equipment in a modern, light-manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, following safety and quality procedures, performing basic machine adjustments, and maintaining production standards.

Previous machine operator experience is not required. Candidates should have a willingness to learn, basic computer skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and perform related production activities.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Review work orders and establish work priorities.
• Meet or exceed production and quality standards.
• Perform minor machine adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed work.
• Identify production or quality issues and report them appropriately.
• Work with operators, technicians, and supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Follow all safety, security, and production procedures.
• Maintain required housekeeping standards.
• Order supplies as needed.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate different types of equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mechanical or equipment-related experience preferred.
• Experience following safety and maintenance instructions preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills preferred.
• Previous machine operator experience is  not required .

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and operate machinery for 6+ hours per day .
• Must be able to maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Must be able to safely perform routine production activities.
