About the Opportunity

We are a growing commercial finance firm seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial Commercial Finance Originations Manager with a background in business banking or commercial lending to help build and scale a key business vertical.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with 3-7 years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, or specialty finance who is looking to transition into a more entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.

As the first dedicated hire within this vertical, you will work directly alongside the Managing Partner, who leads the business, to develop strategic relationships, generate financing opportunities, and help establish a scalable origination platform.

The role is heavily focused on proactive outreach, prospecting, and relationship development with bankers, commercial lenders, CPAs, attorneys, private equity firms, M&A advisors, and other professional referral sources.

You'll also gain firsthand exposure to the private credit industry, including evaluating, structuring, and executing commercial financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop relationships with business bankers, commercial lenders, CPAs, attorneys, private equity firms, M&A advisors, and other referral partners.
• Generate new business opportunities through LinkedIn, phone calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified referral relationships and commercial financing opportunities.
• Coordinate introductions and meetings with the Managing Partner to explore potential transactions and strategic partnerships.
• Leverage existing professional relationships while consistently developing new referral channels.
• Assist in evaluating financing opportunities, reviewing financial statements, assessing cash flow, and coordinating transactions with capital providers.
• Collaborate with the Managing Partner on business development strategy and initiatives to grow and scale the vertical.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of relevant banking experience preferred , ideally in a client-facing business banking, commercial banking, or commercial lending role.
• Direct experience working with business owners or commercial borrowers on their banking, credit, or financing needs.
• Strong understanding of business lending fundamentals, financial statements, cash flow, and commercial financing products.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, build professional relationships, and generate new business opportunities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with bankers, business owners, and financial professionals.
• Comfortable using LinkedIn, CRM systems, and digital prospecting tools to develop and manage relationships.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, resourceful, and driven by results.
• Existing relationships with bankers, lenders, CPAs, attorneys, or other referral sources are a significant plus.
• Familiarity with asset-based lending, receivables financing, equipment finance, or private credit is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Boca Raton, Florida.

Prior private credit experience is not required. We are seeking someone with a strong banking or lending foundation, professional credibility, and the drive to help build a business.

The Ideal Candidate

You may currently be working as a Business Banking Relationship Manager, Business Development Officer, Commercial Banking Officer, Commercial Lending Associate, or in a similar role at a bank or financial institution.

You have experience working directly with business owners, understand commercial lending, and enjoy building professional relationships.

You're comfortable initiating conversations, prospecting through LinkedIn and other channels, and creating new business opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
