Overview Our Heart Failure / Stroke Unit is a 42-bed unit dedicated to patients diagnosed with both neurological and cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure or acute stroke. This team works with cardiologists and neurologists to maintain best-practice standards of care for this patient population. Responsibilities Provide care within the Heart Failure / Stroke Unit, including coordination with cardiology and neurology teams. Be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed. Work 36 or 48 hours per week, with holidays as required and every other weekend schedule. Adhere to unit protocols and maintain high-quality, compassionate patient care for neuro-cardiac conditions. Qualifications Education: Associate degree in nursing. Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) or Red Cross BLS (required). Licenses: Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted). Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Full-time.
