Position Summary The Produce Manager will manage the daily operations of the produce department. This role requires leadership and merchandising skills to manage product levels and make sound business decisions. The Produce Manager is also responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by promoting consistent operating conditions, offering fresh and appealing products, providing courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the department. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the produce department. Ensure the department is merchandised in accordance with community preferences; maintain shelf allocations to guarantee product availability. Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability. Utilize leadership and merchandising skills to optimize product placement and presentation. Make sound business decisions to enhance department performance. Promote and enforce consistent operating conditions and standards. Provide fresh, appealing, and high‑quality produce. Deliver courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service to customers. Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the department. Train, supervise, and evaluate produce department staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
