Estate Planning Attorney

Job Overview We are a small, very well respected and established woman owned firm serving high net worth individuals in the areas of divorce, prenups, estate planning and estate administration. We have offices in Colorado and South Dakota. We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of substantive estate planning experience and be comfortable managing client relationships, designing estate plans, and drafting sophisticated estate planning documents. Our clients demand excellence on all levels. Responsibilities Meeting directly with clients to identify estate planning goals, family considerations, asset structures, tax concerns, and other planning needs. Designing and implementing comprehensive estate plans for individuals and families with varying levels of complexity and wealth. Drafting, reviewing, and revising estate planning documents. Handling sophisticated planning involving business interests, real estate, retirement accounts, closely held entities, blended families, and significant or complex assets. Reviewing existing estate plans and recommending appropriate amendments, restatements, or other updates. Coordinating estate planning with accountants, financial advisors, insurance professionals, corporate counsel, and other members of a client's advisory team. Working collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys. Maintaining strong client relationships. Staying current on developments in Colorado and federal estate planning, trust, probate, and tax law. Requirements A minimum of five years of substantive estate planning experience. J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Colorado law license and good standing with the Colorado Supreme Court. Significant experience drafting estate planning documents. Working knowledge of federal estate and gift tax principles and Colorado trust and estate law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple client matters and deadlines.
