Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant II to support system accounting activities for a leading healthcare organization. This position is responsible for general ledger month-end close, complex account analysis, reconciliations, and sub-system reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to detail while identifying opportunities to improve accounting systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities and support the monthly financial close process.
• Prepare, review, and analyze complex account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform sub-system reconciliations and research and resolve discrepancies as identified.
• Conduct complex account analysis and investigate variances or unusual financial activity.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Two (2) to six (6) years of accounting work experience required.
• Strong financial accounting knowledge and understanding of general ledger processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities and meet established deadlines in a remote work environment.
