Oncology Nurse Educator

Implement Nurse Education strategies for the assigned Texas portfolio Provide education to community and academic institutions, hospitals, healthcare providers, and pharmacies Channel AstraZeneca’s scientific capabilities to support nurse education and improve patient outcomes Deliver education on disease state and product information as it relates to patient care strategies and adverse event management Facilitate discussions with Registered Nurses, Pharmacy Staff, and Advanced Practitioners Apply customer knowledge and insights to educational engagement Execute account planning and customer engagement activities Develop collaborative relationships within AstraZeneca to address complex patient journey challenges Report to the West Nurse Educator Director Travel approximately 80% Requirements Bachelor’s degree 4+ years Oncology nursing experience Active RN license in territory Willingness to travel 80% Residence within 1 hour of a major airport Experience as Clinical Nurse Educator or clinical professional in the pharmaceutical industry (desirable) Master’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field (desirable) Oncology nursing certification from a recognized professional nursing organization, such as OCN® or equivalent (preferred) Adverse events and patient management expertise Effective educational presentation and discussion facilitation for Registered Nurses, Pharmacy Staff, and Advanced Practitioners Strong commitment to ethical business conduct Ability to prioritize customers’ educational needs related to patient and adverse event management strategies Ability to apply knowledge of customer educational needs and priorities Ability to engage customers by aligning approaches with customer interests and AstraZeneca strategy and goals Ability to develop collaborative relationships within AstraZeneca Ability to work independently with discretion and judgment without regular direct supervision Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Oncology Nursing and Nurse Education, with a strong focus on patient management and adverse event strategies. Capable of delivering effective educational presentations and facilitating discussions with healthcare professionals while fostering collaborative relationships within AstraZeneca.
