Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid state RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Tele competency required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Med-Surg/Telemetry. This position involves working night shifts, scheduled as three 12-hour shifts. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Every other weekend coverage is required. The selected candidate will need to float within scope to meet facility needs. Previous experience in Med-Surg or Telemetry is preferred. Candidates with ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are encouraged to apply. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses. The nursing team will be supported by interdisciplinary staff, including Physical Therapy and Social Services. Applicants should be prepared for possible assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season, running from June through November. All shifts must be completed according to the facility's scheduling needs. Candidates must include any time off requests at the time of submission for consideration. A thorough understanding of telemetry and cardiac care protocols is essential. The hospital has a total of 286 staffed beds, serving a diverse patient population. Travel experience is beneficial but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong skills in managing dysrhythmias and post-procedural care.
