We are seeking a Licensed Sheet Metal Journeyman to install commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, fans, ductwork, and related ventilation components. This is a full‐time position offering steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth within a well‐established company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sheet metal experience

• Licensed Sheet Metal Journeyman or currently enrolled in / graduated from an approved apprenticeship program

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical work safely

• Comfortable working at heights

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards

• Experience hanging commercial kitchen hoods and fabricating/ installing ductwork (or willingness to learn)

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately

• Reliable, adaptable, and able to take on new tasks as needed

Technical Skills

• Ability to weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, and bond components

• Experience with hand tools and power tools

• Familiarity with shears, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, metal punches, notchers, polishing tools

• Experience with MIG/TIG/Stick welding

• Ability to analyze information, troubleshoot, and ensure quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Install commercial kitchen exhaust and condensation hoods

• Install curbs, fans, and exterior metal products according to code

• Fabricate, hang, and install ductwork

• Assemble and install shelving, racking, pot racks, chemical racks, fry cutters, etc

• Assemble and install large deck ovens, roll‐in refrigeration units, and walk‐in coolers/freezers

• Perform stainless steel field polishing and welding

• Read and follow work orders and installation specifications

• Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and materials

• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment

• Measure, mark, and prepare installation guidelines

• Set commercial kitchen equipment in place for final connections

• Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance

• Work overtime and travel overnight when required
