Clinical Research Assistant

Clinical Research Assistant Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in carrying out experimental test procedures, collecting and inputting data systematically, and interpreting data. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, & Windows. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, or another related field. Experience with database & project management, working with clinical and research databases, conducting telephone interviews, and handling statistical software. Brief Description of Duties: This Research Assistant will work in the Department of Neurology to implement research protocols for the Super Movers study. The ideal applicant will have the ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities and will have outstanding interpersonal & listening skills especially while working with older adult research participants. The ideal applicant will also have excellent organizational, oral, written and analytical communications skills. Duties: Enroll and administer informed consents Develop population lists for recruitment, conduct telephone recruitments and follow-up interviews, and complete study mailings Conduct patient interviews and follow-up interviews, cognitive tests, sensory & motor assessments, quantitative gait measurements, and backup quality control of all activities Enter data from paper and computerized forms into database, while reviewing forms for completeness and accuracy Maintain computer databases of study data Submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) paperwork and communicate with the Board as necessary Perform other study-related duties, such as recruitment events, surveys or assessments as requested by study investigator Other duties as assigned Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
