House Manager / Family Assistant

Location:  Irvington, NY
Compensation: $35–$40 per hour
Commitment:  Full-time, long-term
Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
Start Date:  ASAP

Position Overview

A busy, active blended family is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable full-time Household Manager to help keep their home running smoothly. The household includes four working adults and three children, so the family is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask, and enjoys helping a family stay organized. This is a dynamic role for someone who is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, with strong communication, discretion, and professionalism. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating order in a busy home and wants to become a valued, long-term part of the family's team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the household
• Coordinate family schedules and appointments
• Keep the household running smoothly and efficiently
• Communicate and manage tasks using the Skylight Calendar
• Assist with general household organization and planning
• Support the family's day-to-day needs in a proactive and positive manner

Requirements

• Previous household management experience required
• Experience working in a busy, active family home
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable using technology, including the Skylight Calendar
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
• Warm, welcoming, and inclusive, with a professional and discreet approach
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
