Neuroscience Unit Patient Care Technician

Sinai Hospital's Neuroscience Unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit caring for neurology and neurosurgery patients, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, seizure, and epilepsy cases.

Staff work alongside specialists across neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke care in one connected institute.

Sinai Hospital is a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, certified by The Joint Commission and MIEMSS, and was the first hospital in Maryland to earn that designation. Sinai has received the highest stroke care award possible from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association every year since 2008.

Sinai Hospital's Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, offers both medical and surgical treatment for epilepsy, including a dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit that uses continuous video EEG to diagnose and guide care. The team includes fellowship-trained epileptologists and provides neuropsychological and psychosocial assessment as part of whole-person care.

Summary: Under the direction of the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. Experience: Required: Less than one year Education: Preferred: High School / GED Licensures & Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support Current Maryland CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II)

Pay Range: $20.00 to $20.00
