Customer Retention Specialist

Join Quill, a valuable part of the Staples family of brands, as an Inside Sales Representative focused on reactivating and growing existing customers . You'll work 100% company-provided customer contacts , engaging customers who already have a relationship with Quill but haven't ordered recently. Your role is to reconnect, drive new orders, and expand revenue within enterprise accounts . This is a strong opportunity for: * Recent graduates starting a sales career * Early-career professionals building sales experience * Experienced sellers looking for structured pipeline and earning potential * Career transition from customer service, or other customer-facing roles with desire to move into a sales career What you'll be doing: * Make high-volume outbound calls to inactive customers (7+ months) * Re-engage and convert non-ordering locations within existing accounts * Prospect additional locations tied to enterprise customers * Handle inbound calls and convert inquiries into sales * Identify customer needs and recommend solutions * Negotiate pricing and generate quotes * Use customer data to identify upsell opportunities * Meet or exceed monthly activity and sales targets * Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity * Collaborate with Account Managers and internal sales teams What you bring to the table: * Motivation to hit goals and earn commission * Curious and willing to ask questions * Resilient and persistent when handling rejection * Comfort with high-volume outbound calling * Strong communication and listening skills * Ability to quickly identify customer needs * Strong organization and multitasking ability * Resilience and positive mindset * Eagerness to learn and grow in sales Basic Qualifications * High school diploma or GED * 6+ months of sales or related customer-facing experience OR recent college graduate with interest in sales * Comfortable making outbound calls daily * Ability to work 4 days onsite in Lincolnshire, IL * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Preferred Qualifications * 1+ years B2B sales or B2B service experience * Experience meeting sales or productivity goals (metrics / KPIs) * Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) * Ability to work onsite at our Lincolnshire, IL location at least 4 days per week Note : This position is a minimum of 4 days in the office at our Lincolnshire, IL location with flexibility for remote work on Fridays. $22.75/hour - $27.00/hour, plus incentive opportunity The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, business considerations, geography, and internal equity.
