Finance Consultant - Contract - REMOTE (Boston, MA)Lead hands-on finance transformation at a critical stage of growth and commercialization.Proclinical is seeking a Finance Consultant to provide strategic and hands-on support across key finance functions in a commercialization environment. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in clinical or commercial-stage biotech or specialty pharma, particularly those who have supported first product launches, ERP implementations, and finance transformation initiatives. Primary Responsibilities:The successful candidate would be an experienced finance leader (ex-Controllers, FP&A Directors, CFOs) capable of providing hands-on advisory and execution support across key finance functions in a commercialization environment.This role is ideal for builders who have operated in clinical or commercial-stage biotech / specialty pharma and have supported first product launches, ERP implementations, and finance transformation initiatives.Skills & Requirements:Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or FP&A leader.Expertise in biotech or specialty pharma, particularly in clinical-to-commercial transitions and first product launches.Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, GTN processes, inventory, and cost accounting.Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.Background in venture-backed or high-growth biotech companies, ideally scaling organizations from 50 to 500 employees.The Finance Consultant's responsibilities will be:Provide strategic and hands-on support across:General AccountingGeneral Ledger, Accounts Payable, month-end closeFinancial reporting and controlsRevenue Recognition / Gross-to-Net (GTN)Government pricing, rebates, discounts, admin feesReturned and free goods accountingCoordination with third-party GTN providersCost & Inventory AccountingStandard cost developmentInventory accounting and capitalization (post-PDUFA)ERP & SystemsERP selection, implementation, or optimization (NetSuite, SAP preferred)Finance transformation and reporting infrastructureProcure-to-Pay (P2P)Process design and optimizationFP&ABudgeting, long-range planning (LRP)Financial forecasting and reportingIf you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Janelle Jones at View email address on apply.placed-app.com you are interested in applying to this exciting opportunity, then please click 'Apply' or to speak to one of our specialists please request a call back at the top of this page.
