What You'll Be Doing

• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures using high-field magnets and digital imaging systems
• Interpret physician orders, adjust scanning protocols, and independently execute studies
• Screen patients and verify MRI safety protocols to prevent contraindications or adverse reactions
• Position patients with care and precision to ensure optimal image quality and comfort
• Administer contrast agents when required, under established guidelines and monitoring practices
• Coordinate with radiologists for image review, interpretation priorities, and urgent findings
• Document procedures and patient data accurately in EHR and PACS systems
• Contribute to equipment calibration, quality control, and safety monitoring
• Mentor or precept junior staff as part of professional development culture

What We're Looking For

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent
• Completion of an MRI program accredited by ARRT or equivalent body

Licensure & Certifications

• ARRT certification in MRI (or eligible within 6 months of hire)
• Connecticut Radiographer License required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience preferred; will consider highly motivated trainees
• Skilled in MRI anatomy, physics, imaging protocols, and artifact reduction
• Comfortable in a fast-paced hospital or outpatient setting with both scheduled and STAT cases
• Proficient with digital radiology systems and confident in troubleshooting minor tech issues
