Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records for construction projects, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and provide financial reports.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Support year-end audits and assist with the preparation of tax documents.
Utilize accounting software to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of construction terminology and processes is a plus.
