Legal Billing Specialist (Temporary/Temp-to-Hire)

Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour

About the Opportunity

LHH is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist for a temporary or temp-to-hire opportunity with a respected law firm in Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative legal team while utilizing your billing expertise in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process attorney billing
• Review invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate billing revisions and approvals
• Manage electronic billing submissions
• Support collections and accounts receivable efforts
• Assist with client intake and conflict checks
• Prepare engagement letters and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate financial and client records

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of legal billing experience
• Experience working within a law firm preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing software
