Licensed Practical Nurse - Kennett Square (Part Time)

Position Overview Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Kennett Square Primary Care office. This position is 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled according to operational needs. What You Will Do Provide and document direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Execute nursing care guided by physician orders and the plan of care; report patient responses for evaluation and modification of the plan. Assist other health‑care personnel in delivering patient care. Participate in maintaining the environment of care, including equipment and material resources. Engage in professional development by maintaining required competencies and attending educational offerings; support the development of other staff and formal learners. Identify clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assist in improvement activities. Administer medications within scope of practice and organizational standards, following required training and physician orders. Support clinical activities related to nursing and clinic flow; recommend improvements for quality and effectiveness of nursing care. Promote patient safety by speaking up about safety issues, reporting errors, and demonstrating shared accountability for safe practices. Perform other related duties as incidental to the work described herein. Education Qualifications Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing Program (required) Experience Qualifications At least two (2) years of experience in the medical field (preferred) Pediatric experience (preferred) Skills And Abilities Computer competency – basic use of computer, Microsoft Office, web browsing, intranet search, and patient‑facing technology (e.g., IV pumps, monitoring devices). Navigation and use of electronic health record and clinical decision support tools. Information literacy – determine and access needed clinical information, evaluate sources, and incorporate findings into practice. Information management – locate and review patient data, use quality improvement tools, and understand policies regarding confidentiality and privacy. Licenses and Certifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pennsylvania (upon hire, required) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – New Jersey (upon hire, required) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – certified by an organization requiring hands‑on instructor‑lead psychomotor skills verification (upon hire, required) Salary Hourly rate: $28.05 – $35.05. Salary ranges are shown for full‑time jobs; part‑time pay will be adjusted accordingly.
