Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Hoboken, NJ 07030

Duration: 15 months+ contract extensions
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) + alternating Saturdays (8:00 AM-2:00 PM)
Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
Interview Process: In-Person

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs
Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
Administer injections and immunizations as permitted
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, wound care, and suture removal
Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
Verify insurance, process referrals/authorizations, and assist with prescription refill requests
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification through AAMA
Current CPR/BLS certification
Knowledge of NJ Medical Assistant scope-of-practice regulations
Experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting
Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

Internal Medicine experience
Bilingual
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Patient-focused approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

No travel required
Single work location
No home-based patient visits
