Plant Supervisor

Role Overview: Located in Hodges, SC, this full-time, on-site Plant Supervisor position involves active, hands‑on management within a foundry and casting facility. The role focuses on overseeing automotive production and quality inspection processes. Candidate Profile: We seek a capable leader prepared to work in a demanding, heavy-industrial setting characterized by heat, dust, and grime. Candidates must possess a background in foundry operations, casting, forklift operation, and production oversight. Requirements Note: Proficiency in both casting and forklift operation is mandatory, with specific experience in foundry environments being a significant advantage. Your Responsibilities: Direct and manage team members throughout their scheduled shifts. Organize daily tasks to ensure all production targets are achieved. Oversee staff performance, punctuality, safety compliance, and output levels. Instruct personnel on operational protocols, safety standards, and the correct use of machinery. Utilize forklifts to assist in material handling and support site safety. Manage production records and utilize scanning technology and basic software. Report on staffing, safety, and operational status to management. Troubleshoot production obstacles to help maintain optimal operational efficiency. Contribute to quality assurance and ongoing process improvement efforts. Participate in physical production tasks and heavy lifting as necessary. Foster a secure, orderly, and high-performing workplace for all staff. Qualifications: Proven expertise in casting processes is mandatory. Current or past forklift certification and operational experience is required. Background in industrial, manufacturing, or foundry leadership roles. Prior experience within a casting or foundry facility is strongly preferred. Familiarity with operating cranes and hoists is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate effectively. Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English. Capacity to thrive in a high-speed, heavy-industrial setting. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting tasks. Dependable personal transportation. Comfort working in a challenging environment with industrial conditions. Physical & Safety Standards: Ability to perform heavy lifting as the role demands. Mandatory use of steel-toe footwear. Mandatory use of metatarsal protection. Appropriate work trousers are required; leggings and yoga pants are prohibited. All additional necessary personal protective equipment is supplied. The standard operational hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend availability required. Currently, the team is operating on an extended schedule of 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, to meet production demands, with a planned return to the standard shift once targets are met.
