We're looking for a finish carpenter or handrail installer who enjoys detailed work, takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship, and wants to be part of a company known for quality.When you come to Southern Staircase, you'll receive:Competitive pay of $28.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience$1,000 hiring bonusRelocation assistance for qualified candidatesMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) retirement planPaid Time OffNine Paid HolidaysFull-time, year-round work on premium construction projectsYour responsibilities will include:Install custom wood, metal, glass, and cable handrail systems for new construction and renovation projectsRead blueprints, layouts, and project specifications to ensure accurate installationsTake detailed field measurements and verify compliance with building codesPerform precision finish carpentry while maintaining high quality standardsCommunicate regularly with the Installation Manager regarding project progress and material needsMaintain organized, safe, and professional job sitesDeliver outstanding workmanship and customer service on every installationSuccessful candidates will have:At least 5 years of professional handrail installation experience (Required)Experience installing over-the-post and curved rail systems is strongly preferredAdvanced finish carpentry and trim installation skillsAbility to read construction drawings and installation plansStrong math and geometry skills for accurate layout and fittingValid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Must be at least 21 years of ageAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work in active construction environmentsWillingness to travel extensively (approximately 75% or more)Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to craftsmanshipSouthern Staircase, part of Edge Building Solutions, designs and installs premium stair and handrail systems for leading builders and developers.
