Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate communication and long-term cognitive or swallowing goals.
• Implement tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on areas such as communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate seamless care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure a continuum of care throughout the healing process.
• Uphold precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth by staying abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is essential.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certifications

• Must possess a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
