Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Assistant to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ!

The Employee Benefits Assistant supports the efficient operation of the Employee Benefits department by providing administrative, clerical, and customer service support to internal teammates and external clients. This role helps maintain organized workflows, supports communications and documentation, assists with compliance activities, and contributes to a positive client and teammate experience.

How You Will Contribut e:

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and packages.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, memos, and other business documents.
• Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Input, update, and maintain data within agency systems and databases.
• Provide administrative support to teammates and assist with departmental projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate communications between departments, clients, carriers, and external partners.
• Conduct research and compile information to support business needs and special projects.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Assist with internal compliance reviews and related documentation.
• Promote teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and a positive culture throughout the department.
• Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures, including licensing and continuing education requirements.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Licenses and Certification s:

• Valid New Jersey Life, Health & Accident Producer License, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to maintain all required licenses and registrations in good standing.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• High School Diploma
• College degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of employee benefits insurance products, coverages, and contracts.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage competing deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive working relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage confidential information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support teammates and contribute to department success.

Pay Range

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
