Registered Nurse PACU

$2584.00/week - Job Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients within the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), supporting recovery and stabilization post-surgery. Ensures patient safety, promotes quality improvement, and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Render professional nursing care aligned with hospital policies, medical staff directives, and professional standards. Complete clinical documentation and care plans accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate patient status effectively during handoffs, rounds, and physician interactions to ensure continuity of care. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting errors, and addressing safety concerns promptly. Assist with procedures such as insertion of flow wires, IVUS, and medication administration including procedural sedation, following policies and guidelines. Collaborate with team members across units to resolve issues, provide support, and promote respectful relationships. Qualifications: Current New Hampshire RN license required. BLS and ACLS certification required; CPI training preferred. Minimum of 3 years critical care experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and management; NHISS certification preferred. Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and demonstrate contraindications and reversal steps for IV adenosine infusion. Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience.
