This role is strategic and ideal for a professional committed to delivering outstanding client service and achieving positive outcomes for both the environment and our clients.Responsibilities Own and execute a multi-year client growth strategy aligned with BC and client business objectives. Develop and advance the client business case, including revenue targets, service expansion, and positioning milestones. Secure and deliver profitable work while managing risk exposure. Lead the performance of the full client portfolio (projects and pursuits) to achieve revenue, margin, and backlog targets. Maintain utilization aligned with portfolio expectations. Provide regular performance calibration with Business Unit and Area/Market leadership. Build and lead an engaged, high-performing Client Service Team (CST) with clear accountability. Coordinate resources across business lines and engage SMEs to expand service breadth. Mentor developing team members and model effective client leadership. Expand relationships across client functional areas and leadership levels. Translate client insights and market intelligence into actionable growth strategies. Execute structured client engagement plans (minimum 20% client-facing time). Serve as Sales Leader on key pursuits; evaluate opportunities and develop win strategies. Maintain accurate client data and apply governance between CSM and PM roles to ensure unified client messaging and delivery alignment. Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. Preferred RequirementsDevelop and expand relationships with clients. Regularly engage clients to comprehend their business interests.Responsible for developing and driving sales and business goals for the Arizona and/or Nevada Water and Wastewater market.Engage and cultivate client service teams to support the understanding and delivery of client needs and expectations.Create client engagement strategies and pursuit plans, actively leading in key opportunity proposals, positioning, teaming, messaging, and interviews.Understand and apply knowledge of market trends and drivers.Serve as project manager or senior technical resource for key clients.Ensure high-quality client services, clarity on work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints.Utilize internal systems for communication, tracking, and collaboration on projects and opportunities.Support the development of staff members, particularly concerning exceptional client service delivery, strategic planning, and effective communication.Meet identified performance metrics, including annual sales goals, project budgets, and schedules.Leverage resources, experience, and skills of the firm to support client goals.Participate in professional societies, fostering connections for BC and technical professionals in support of client goals.Serve as a mentor to mid-level and rising professional staff.Mentorship May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles. Demonstrated ability to motivate and align multidisciplinary teams to execute business plans. Advanced facilitation, interview, and executive communication skills (written and oral). Working proficiency in risk identification, mitigation, and performance management. Familiarity with governance principles, decision-support models, and change leadership practices. Proficiency in leveraging digital tools, data systems, and AI-enabled platforms to support client and business performance. Advanced leadership skills with the capability to inspire and guide a team. Experience Typically, a minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering and consulting industry with progressive responsibilities including marketing and business development. Preferred Experience Professional Engineer registration in the State of Arizona or Nevada preferred.A minimum of 10 years’ experience in consulting and engineering services in the water/wastewater sector with progressive responsibilities including business development and project delivery for wastewater treatment, collections, water treatment, and/or water distribution.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, lead project teams to meet project requirements, and provide strong business growth results in management roles.Proven track record of successfully managing projects, delivering on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.Proven understanding of environmental and regulatory drivers for clients and projects.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in sales portfolio management, strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership.Proven technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually are required.Ability to motivate others and lead teams to implement plans for projects and client pursuits.Valid driver’s license and good driving recordProficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.Education A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, sales, or equivalent experience is required. Preferred Education B.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental etc.) required; M.S. degree in related engineering field with a focus on civil or environmental engineering preferred.Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
