OB Surgical Technologist

Job Summary The OB Surgical technician, under direct supervision of a registered professional nurse, provides direct and indirect perioperative nursing tasks for patients requiring surgical intervention or vaginal delivery. They will assist the Labor and Delivery team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies, and provide care for neonatal and newborn infants, adolescent patients (12‑17 years), and adult patients (18‑50 years). Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a Surgical Technician Program. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) as recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. One‑year previous experience in a perioperative or obstetrical setting preferred.
