Details Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting Care for pediatric patients including congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and ECMO cases Patient ratio of 1:2 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM Required to work every other weekend Floating required Epic charting system experience preferred Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required and must be in hand Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and central line care preferred Experience with CRRT, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations preferred One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions Responsibilities include ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration in a high-acuity setting Bi-weekly orientation schedule Flu vaccine required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions permitted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must disclose this history and must not have been a permanent employee within the past 6 months Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration, limited to 5-7 days maximum American Traveler Job ID P-741271.
