Deputy CE Site Superintendent

Purpose and Scope Amentum seeks a Deputy CE Site Superintendent at Creech Airforce Base. The Deputy reports to a CE Site Superintendent and supervises union staff in alarms, HVAC/HRAC, plumbing, carpentry, structural ironworkers, wireman, laborers, power production, operators, plumbers, and facility maintenance coordinators. The role ensures optimal building system performance (mechanical, fire/life safety, lighting, etc.) and manages personnel for facilities repair, renovation, and construction projects. A SMART Team Concept is employed to cover routine preventative maintenance while maintaining emergency response capability. Essential Responsibilities Collaborate with the Superintendent, CE Manager, regional operations manager, and US Government customers. Coordinate best practices with other Deputy CE Managers, Superintendents, and management personnel. Provide guidance and technical direction of RSS II CE Union personnel for specific sites or multiple sites supporting contract operations. Ensure work compliance with contract directives and maintain work‑management procedures. Coordinate with the Project Manager overseeing new construction and renovation efforts. Oversee Civil Engineering Quality Assurance, Logistics Management, Property Management, Physical Security, Safety‑Health, and Environmental programs. Plan, implement, track, report, and deliver required services described in the PWS. Respond to IDIQ Task Orders for support services when required. Implement a Risk Management Program in accordance with contractual requirements. Maintain and report performance metrics measuring PWS execution. Monitor CE procedures and analyze work trends in the area of responsibility. Maintain the integrity and utilization of the CE Maximo database for reporting. Centralize receipt, planning, and reporting of O&M work requirements. Coordinate construction management work with projected cost over $5,000 or 100 labor hours for Government approval. Coordinate AFF 332 Base Civil Engineer Work Request process in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements. Schedule work based on Government and Mission prioritization. Educate external customers on CE processes and contractual requirements. Manage the preventative maintenance program for the geographical area. Ensure CE CDRLs are accomplished, delivered on time, and formatted per contract DOD instructions. Develop and deliver CE Status Report showing PM, CM, and WO status, impacts, and solutions. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred). One year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required. 10 years of demonstrated management and leadership in Facility Operations & Maintenance, Construction, and Civil Engineering, including operation and maintenance of industrial or military facilities and design and construction program implementation. Experience managing and leading work crews in construction and facility O&M. Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications. Prior military and Civil Engineering experience is a plus. Must qualify for and maintain a Government Secret security clearance. Must possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license. Work Environment Primarily a general office environment. Frequent travel across Nevada is required, with routine overnight stays in austere and harsh environments. As an exempt employee, may be required to work outside standard hours to support customers. Other Responsibilities Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays; may be required to fill in for dispatchers during appointments, lunch breaks, and sick days. Respond on off‑duty time during large‑scale incidents or stay over until an emergency is terminated. Maintain positive and professional demeanor and good working relationships with on‑ and off‑base agencies. Remain calm and composed during emergency situations. Compensation $110,000 - $130,000 (annual salary). Salary is a good‑faith estimate and may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
