Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Shelby, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Shelby, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care for a diverse patient population with various diagnoses in a fast-paced environment. The role requires clinical expertise and the ability to adapt to a dynamic hospital setting. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a rotation every 6 weeks. Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, at least 18 months of Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience, as well as knowledge of critical care skills such as cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, wound care, and management of non-titrating cardiac drips. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system (at least 6 months). Float: Float rotation may be required to all facilities within the designated region, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH). Additional Information: Orientation includes a 2-day departmental orientation; scrubs are navy in color; free parking is provided. The unit fosters a supportive culture, and the hospital has on-site hospitalists, intensivists, and remote telemetry monitoring with 24/7 telemetry tech support.
