Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Relief – Nashville, TN As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. In this role, you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support employees and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule Thur: 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM Fri: 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and security‑related protocols appropriate to a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report potential concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help support authorized access procedures in accordance with location guidelines. Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate important updates to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency responders as needed. Minimum Requirements Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
