In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access activity, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Wed 12:30 PM – 08:30 PM. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at utility, communications, and public access locations. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and assist with controlling entry and exit for restricted infrastructure, offices, and other designated areas. Support site operations by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and following post orders related to public interaction, asset protection, and emergency preparedness. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
