Funds Attorney

Role Overview

Apply your funds and corporate law experience to help train and evaluate AI systems used for real-world contract review and legal analysis. This remote, part-time contractor role focuses on improving how AI identifies risk, interprets contract language, and delivers precise legal feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct simulated contract negotiations and contract redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback that improves output quality and precision.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for AI contract tasks.
• Work with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
• Contribute legal expertise to the development and evaluation of AI tools for legal practitioners.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
• Experience with fund management, fund formation, contract redlining, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with M&A agreements, including LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
• Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $90 to $150 per hour.
