Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level sports transactional associate for its New York office. The role involves engaging in commercial transactions within the sports and entertainment industries, with opportunities to work in related fields such as real estate, intellectual property, and corporate law. Duties Draft and negotiate sponsorship and naming rights agreements. Handle multi‑media and procurement agreements. Manage franchise acquisition and disposition agreements. Oversee venue development and operations agreements. Coordinate advertising, promotional, and ticketing agreements. Collaborate on joint venture and media rights agreements. Requirements Substantial experience in sports‑related transactions. Membership in good standing with the state bar where located. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active bar membership in the relevant state. Skills Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
