Laboratory - Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist

Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities. Responsible for patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions. Draws blood and rounds, picking up items and taking them to the main lab. Will handle 20-25 tubes in one sitting. Previous computer experience is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in venipuncture required. Valid, unrestricted state driver's license and the ability to be insured by an insurance carrier. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. 6 months to 1 year of on-the-job experience in venipuncture required.
