This individual will provide technical support in the area of PC and PLC based controls and automation for improvement projects and production support.Requirements:B.S. in Engineering or Computer ScienceExperience with programming Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider, and/or Siemens PLC’sExcellent technical problem-solving skillsAbility to contribute to the plant’s culture of continuous improvementExcellent communication skillsDetail and quality orientedAbility to work with little supervisionPreferred:Experience in fiber optic or other highly automated manufacturing processExperience in PLC programming utilizing IEC programming languages including Ladder, Sequential function charts, Structured text and Function Block DiagramsExperience with Profibus, Ethernet and Modbus+ communication protocolsExperience in programming HMI Software with PC to PLC transactions and PC to Database transactionsExperience in programming servo drives and motion controllersResponsibilities:Develop and maintain PLC programs utilized by production and facility equipment to control manufacturing processes and support systemsProvide controls and automation support for the manufacture of optical fiberWork with the technical staff to resolve daily production issues related to equipment or control softwareSupport the commissioning of new equipment for productionEnsure proper backups of all programs and critical support files are maintained per plant standardsComply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 HSE guidelinesOther duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management-----------------------------------------Job Offer Fraud AlertWe take the security of our candidates seriously.
