Automation Technician 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Hours: 2nd shift 4pm-12am and 3rd shift 12am-8am

Pay: Up to $33 w/$2 Shift Differential 

Location: Hickory

Climate controlled manufacturing facility

Job Summary:
ProStaffing, a leading staffing firm located in Conover, NC is seeking skilled Automation Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in industrial automation and maintenance, with expertise in automation integration across various systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all company and regulatory safety and environmental protocols to ensure the safety of all team members.
• Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues impacting quality and efficiency; diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance plans for equipment and processes.
• Build and repair End of Arm Tooling and fixtures.
• Understand and support the manufacturing process and its components.
• Back up and optimize automation programs.
• Utilize vision inspection systems for quality control.
• Identify and resolve automation system issues.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Automation integration and set up of new machines 
• Back up & optimism automation programs

Required Education & Experience:

• Proven experience in automation technology and maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong background in plastics processing.
• Experience with KUKA and Krauss Maffei robots (three to six axes) is essential
• Solid knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems, including vacuum systems.
• Expertise in automated quality inspection systems.
• Proficient with equipment monitoring systems.
