Content Marketing Strategist

Hexagon’s Mining division is seeking a Content Marketing Strategist to help shape and create compelling content for audiences around the world.

This is a hands-on content role for a marketer and storyteller who understands how to turn complex ideas, customer challenges, and technology into clear, engaging narratives. Working across written, video, digital, and social channels, you will help develop content that supports Hexagon’s business priorities, strengthens our brand, and connects with customers.

Video will be an important part of the role, from identifying and developing stories to scripting, shooting, editing, and distribution. But it is one tool in a broader content mix. We are looking for someone who thinks first about the audience, the story, and the business objective, then determines the best way to bring that story to life.

You will work with colleagues, customers, and partners around the world and will have considerable autonomy to identify content opportunities, develop ideas, and manage projects from concept through delivery.

Job responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of content strategies aligned with marketing, communications, product, campaign, and business priorities.
• Identify strong stories and translate complex technical and business subjects into clear, audience-focused content.
• Develop content across multiple formats and channels, including video, customer stories, articles, campaign content, product marketing materials, social media, and digital platforms.
• Lead video projects from concept to delivery, including research, story development, scripting and storyboarding, filming, editing, distribution, and measurement.
• Work directly with customers, subject-matter experts, product managers, sales teams, executives, and marketing colleagues to uncover insights and develop credible, relevant stories.
• Apply strong copywriting and editorial judgement to ensure content is concise, engaging, accurate, and appropriate for its intended audience.
• Ensure content aligns with Hexagon's brand identity, messaging, product positioning, and tone of voice.
• Identify opportunities to repurpose, adapt, and optimise existing content across channels and audiences, prioritising quality and relevance over volume.
• Use content and campaign performance data to understand audience engagement, assess effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, from initial brief through stakeholder review, production, publication, and measurement.
• Manage external agencies, freelancers, and production partners when specialist skills or additional capacity are required.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations that help evolve Hexagon Mining's content and video strategy.

Knowledge and Experience - Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience in content marketing, communications, brand marketing, journalism, or a related field, preferably within a B2B, technology, industrial, engineering, or similarly complex environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant content marketing work, including examples of video production, editing, and multimedia campaigns.
• Strong storytelling and copywriting skills, with the ability to find the human and business story within complex or technical subject matter.
• Experience working in mining, technology, industrial, engineering, or another complex B2B environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing content as part of broader campaigns, product launches, customer marketing, or communications programmes.
• Practical video production experience, including storyboarding, scripting, filming, and editing.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software, with the ability to adapt to Premiere Pro.

Knowledge and Experience - Desired:

• Experience creating content in collaboration with customers and turning customer experiences into compelling stories.
• Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or production vendors across different markets.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud beyond Premiere Pro, including tools such as After Effects, Photoshop, or Audition.
• Photography and on-location video production experience.
• Experience using marketing and customer data to understand customer behaviour, identify audience or content insights, and inform content strategy and decision-making.
• Experience analysing content performance and translating data into practical recommendations for future content and campaigns.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills alongside professional-level English.
• Formal education in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related discipline.

Travel

• International travel, including travel to customer and mine sites may be required.

What success looks like

You will bring together marketing judgment, storytelling, and practical content creation skills to produce work that serves a clear purpose. You will be comfortable moving between strategy and execution: discussing a business priority with stakeholders one day, interviewing a customer or filming on location the next, and then shaping that material into content for multiple channels.

Most importantly, you will understand that effective content starts with the audience and the problem we are trying to solve — not the format we want to produce.
