About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join their team. The CNO will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of patient-centered nursing care, with a focus on advancing nursing practice, continuous professional development, and operational excellence. This executive leadership role involves ensuring that nursing initiatives align with the company's strategic and operational goals, managing the selection, development, and performance of nursing staff, and leading a team to optimize the provision of nursing care. The CNO will also be involved in labor negotiations, fostering relationships with union representatives, and leading efforts to address ethnic and racial disparities in healthcare. Candidates for the CNO position at the company should have a Master's degree in nursing and a related field, with a preference for a doctoral degree. A Massachusetts nursing license is required. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of executive or director-level leadership experience in an acute care setting, with a strong background in nursing practice, administration, and executive leadership. Advanced knowledge of professional nursing practice, experience with healthcare technology, and a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment and relevant regulations are essential. The CNO will be expected to demonstrate competencies in decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to lead and direct collaborative teams.
