Wage : $45,000+ DEO

Shift : Full time. Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm. Saturdays and holidays as needed.

Summary : What could be more exciting than planning memorable events? Join the Catering and Conference Team at Thanksgiving Point as an Event Planner / Event Coordinator and help bring weddings, corporate events, conferences, social gatherings, and other special events to life! This role works closely with clients, the Sales Team, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate event details, logistics, budgets, timelines, and on-site needs while providing an exceptional client experience.

 

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and manage logistics, details, timelines, and event requirements for weddings, corporate events, conferences, private parties, public events, and social gatherings.
• Partner with clients and the Sales Team to plan and execute events from initial coordination through completion.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing professional and responsive client service and event support.
• Coordinate with internal Thanksgiving Point departments, vendors, contractors, and event staff to ensure successful event operations.
• Develop, track, and maintain accurate event budgets, invoices, timelines, contracts, and event documentation.
• Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding event details to ensure all planning milestones are completed on time.
• Assist with event setup, execution, and coordination as needed to ensure a smooth experience for clients and guests.
• Anticipate event needs, resolve issues, and use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address challenges before and during events.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and service-focused approach when working with clients, guests, vendors, and team members.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

 

Requirements :

• Exceptional organizational, planning, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make confident decisions, work independently, and manage multiple events, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong time management and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced event environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Extensive experience in event planning, event coordination, wedding planning, wedding coordination, catering, hospitality, or event management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use event planning, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and other business software.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to remain professional, organized, and composed while managing changing event needs and priorities.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check if required to drive for work.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
