Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Tacoma, WA The healthcare organization is seeking a skilled ER Nurse to provide high-quality care in a Level II Trauma Center. This role involves managing a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, with a focus on high-acuity cases including trauma, sepsis, COVID, and stroke. The ER Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Job Details

• Position: ER Nurse
• Location: Tacoma, WA
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB, Epic experience, 1 year of strong Emergency Department experience, support on the unit including ER tech glucose checks and assisting with splinting, with similar duties for support staff.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, basic ED knowledge of drips and medication administration, procedural sedation, and blood administration.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes badge and Epic training, a day meeting with an educator, and a 3-4 shift preceptor period. The candidate must complete and pass the Traveler Telemetry Competency exam prior to start. The role may involve floating between facilities, with prior knowledge of location before shifts.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to undergo clinical interviewing and final review for approval before onboarding.
