Consulting Sol Architect - HI

The Consulting Sol Architect - HI is a field‑based technical pre‑sales role focusing on developing comprehensive security solutions for CDW customers. The role provides consultative guidance, supports partner product sales, scopes service offerings, and fosters strategic relationships to drive business growth. Responsibilities Develop appropriate assessment and service solutions for CDW customers, including architecture, optimizations, technology health checks, deployment services, and advisory services. Collaborate with customers, delivery teams, and internal sales to offer consultative guidance, plan sales strategy, and author statements of work (SOWs). Analyze technical and competitive considerations, defining actions to meet customer expectations in the sales cycle by uncovering customer long‑term goals and requirements and crafting solutions that build toward the desired end goals. Maintain strategic relationships with customers, internal sales, and delivery management, acting as a trusted advisor to drive business growth. Maintain relationships with key strategic partners by holding at least five partner technical certifications. Grow influence in your assigned territory through high engagement with vendors, partners, customers, and sales, and be recognized by teammates as an expert in the field. Act as a subject‑matter expert across multiple families of products and solutions, contributing to CDW marketing‑approved online activities such as LinkedIn posts, blog entries, and online magazines. Drive outreach initiatives, technical enablement projects, and coach and mentor other solution architects, solution executives, and field sellers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and eight years in a technical, pre‑sales, or post‑sale delivery role. OR twelve years in a technical, pre‑sales, or post‑sale delivery role. Motivated, self‑starting, and able to perform high‑quality work with minimal guidance. Domain expertise in industry‑specific challenges, regulations, and best practices, with deep knowledge of CDW’s architecture, products, technologies, and solutions. Ability to tailor recommendations and position solutions effectively within the industry landscape. Proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including sales and delivery, leading technical discussions, influencing decision making, and mentoring junior team members. Customer‑centric mindset, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to understand and articulate customer needs, gather requirements, and explain technical concepts clearly. Strong solution‑design and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems, identify appropriate solutions, and translate technical concepts into understandable terms for customers. Willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed. Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $121,450 – $170,000 depending on experience and skill set.
