Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care in a cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, monitor, and respond to patients during procedures. The nurse will administer conscious sedation, evaluate patient responses, and advocate for patient needs, ensuring safety and quality care. Responsibilities include: Promoting patient and family-centered care through education on illness management and post-treatment needs. Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, as well as ongoing professional development. Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients. Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, and addressing cultural and spiritual considerations. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Licensure: Active RN license. Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years of bedside experience preferred, especially in critical care, emergency, or cardiac settings. Additional: Ability to work safely and alertly; live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call requirements.
