Title:  Operator 1, Packaging Operations

Location: 160 New Boston Street, Woburn, MA 01801 

Schedule:  1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

(Note: Candidate must be open, willing, and flexible to work overtime hours as needed).

We package plant-based hemostatic powder (AristaTM AH Absorbable Hemostatic Powder). The only "hazard" is the 70/30 alcohol solution we use for cleaning, which is hazardous due to its flammability.

Job Description

Position Overview: You will be responsible for the manual inspection, labelling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products. You will perform finished product packaging as required to satisfy all customer, internal, clinical, and other demand, ensuring that finished products are packaged in accordance with procedures and Quality specifications.

• Having previous work experience in a GMP manufacturing work environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect in-process packaging and components to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging material.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities related to product packaging, including but not limited to device history records and inventory counts.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations required to assist in the completion of batch records.
• Assist with inventory counting activities as required.
• Participate in safety audits as required and actively engage in daily safety discussions/observations.
• Perform routine cleaning of the packaging station and processing equipment.
• Abide by all personal protective equipment (PPE) and product contamination control (i.e., gowning) requirements.
• Handle hazardous waste as appropriate. (Note: Handling hazardous waste is very rare for this specific role, but may occasionally involve handling 200-proof ethanol).

Required Skills:

• Must be able to read and understand documentation, and strictly follow procedures and quality specifications.
• Familiarity with computers and various software for general business functionality.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule including static or rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Qualifications :

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED.
• Experience: A minimum of 6 months of industry work experience.
