Sales Support Specialist

Description

This position is responsible for processing and managing day-to-day customer functions, such as order management, order entry, and customer communication in support of the sales engineering team. Additionally, this individual will be a backup for many key roles on the team. This is an entry level position with opportunities to assume greater responsibility.

Requirements

• College degree, or two years of inside sales or customer service experience.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize your own workload, and use sound judgment.

• Willingness to run and review reports on a set schedule to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Preferred

• Experience with ERP software.

• Understanding of how order entry affects upstream and downstream processes (engineering, production, shipping).

• Comfort handling exceptions and unexpected issues.
