Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments for adult patients admitted to the facility and determine diagnoses related to communication and swallowing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with patient needs and discharge planning.
- Provide direct therapy services and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and interdisciplinary team input.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely, compliant manner.
- Educate patients and families about communication strategies, swallowing safety, and ongoing care needs; collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and social work teams to support patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Current Virginia license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment and with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and accurate clinical documentation
