RN - Rehab

Registered Nurse - Med Rehab

This is a 13-week contract position with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekdays are required with every other weekend, and floating may be necessary to meet facility needs.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med Rehab unit specializing in treating patients with cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputations, spinal cord injuries, neurological diseases, and severe deconditioning. The unit features a collaborative care model where each patient is assigned a multi-disciplinary team, including a physiatrist, nurse practitioners, therapists, and social workers, who work together to create tailored treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to rehabilitation patients.
• Collaborate with care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' responses.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress in Cerner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year in a rehabilitation specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification from AHA is mandatory.
• WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission).
• Charge experience is preferred.
