Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a registered dietitian to assess nutrition status, provide counseling, ensure quality assurance, and participate in staff education and performance improvement initiatives within clinical nutrition programs. Responsibilities Assess the nutrition status of patients using appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data. Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members. Maintain quality assurance and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines. Develop and participate in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care. Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assist in statistical analysis of data and action plans for performance improvement initiatives. Participate in department PI projects and clinical nutrition programs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Preferred Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or a relevant area.
