CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN / CREW LEADER

$30–$45/HR • HOME MOST NIGHTS • STRONG BACKLOG

Veritas Systems Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman / Crew Leader who understands that great leadership isn't standing back and telling people what to do.

It's planning ahead, communicating early, setting the pace, teaching, holding the standard and getting GOOD work DONE together.

We have a strong backlog of projects scheduled well into next year and are looking for the right leader to help strengthen our existing construction team and continue building for the future.

HOME MOST NIGHTS

This is a big one.

Most of our projects are within approximately 75 miles of St. Joseph , which means this position is designed to get you back home most nights instead of living out of hotels.

Company transportation is provided from our shop to the jobsite.

WE AREN'T ASKING YOU TO DO EVERYTHING

And we mean that.

You'll have support for estimating, bidding, procurement, materials, customer coordination, project documentation and overall project management.

Your primary responsibility is clear:

LEAD THE CREW. BUILD THE BUILDING. OWN THE FIELD.

This is a hands-on leadership position.

You'll work alongside the crew, set the pace and demonstrate the standard while also knowing when your job is to step back, plan ahead and make sure the entire crew has what they need to succeed.

You'll be trusted to:

• Plan ahead and keep the crew moving forward.
• Read construction plans and turn them into an organized game plan.
• Lead by example in the field.
• Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, productivity and safety.
• Communicate early when something doesn't look right or the plan needs to change.
• Teach and mentor less-experienced teammates.
• Hold people accountable while still treating them with respect.
• Help develop a crew that takes pride in what they accomplish.
• Solve problems without creating new ones.
• Most importantly, GET THE WORK DONE — TOGETHER.

WHAT WE BUILD

Veritas Systems Construction is a third-generation family-owned construction company specializing in steel-wood hybrid building systems.

Our crews erect structural steel frames, install wood purlins and girts, install metal roofing, siding and trims, and frame/install doors, windows and related building components.

Every project is a little different, which means you'll need to be able to think, adapt and lead — not simply follow a repetitive checklist.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience matters. Character and leadership matter even more.

You do NOT need to come from the metal-building industry to be successful here.

Steel-building experience is valuable, but we're more interested in finding someone who already knows how to lead people, read plans, organize work, solve problems and build things the right way.

Maybe your background is in:

Commercial Construction • Framing • Carpentry • Roofing • General Construction • Metal Buildings • Concrete • Superintendent or Crew Leadership

If you understand construction fundamentals and have proven that you can lead a crew, we can teach you our building system.

What is much harder to teach is mature leadership.

We're looking for someone who can walk onto a jobsite, understand what needs to happen next and help a group of people accomplish it together.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$30–$45 per hour , based on proven construction experience, leadership ability and skill set.

We understand the value of an exceptional construction leader, and we're prepared to pay accordingly.

Full-time • Monday–Friday • Occasional Saturdays when needed

OSHA 10 preferred or willing to obtain.

Bilingual English/Spanish, CDL, additional OSHA certifications and commercial or metal-building experience are valuable additions — but they aren't barriers to the right person.

Maybe you've spent your career framing buildings, running commercial jobs or leading a crew in another part of the construction industry.
